Jaipur: Pinkfest 2026, envisioned as a vibrant confluence of Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and global art forms, will be held from 6 to 8 February 2026 at the Rajasthan International Centre. This three-day cultural festival will serve as a dynamic platform where tradition and modernity engage in meaningful dialogue through art, literature and performing arts.

Renowned artists, writers, thinkers and culture enthusiasts from India and abroad will participate in Pinkfest. More than 300 national and international institutions will present art installations and paintings, making the exhibition a major attraction for visitors. Works by artists from Russia, Belgium, Australia and the United States will lend the festival a strong international character.

Speaking about the vision of the festival, organiser Satyajit Talukdar said,

“Art and culture are the soul of society, and Pinkfest is a medium to give expression to that soul. Three Special Days for Art and Literature Lovers

The three-day festival will feature more than 150 speakers and include art dialogues, literary discussions, theatre workshops, open mic sessions, classical music and dance performances, and special sessions on films in the Rajasthani language.

The first day will include art exhibitions, art dialogues and book launches, the Tana–Bana Culture Walk, Srishti Mandapam (Pavilion of Cosmos), design exhibitions, design academic sessions and workshops, open mic live sessions and a Picasso exhibition.

Performing arts will feature cultural presentations and the staging of the play “Do Akeli”.

On the literary platform, sessions will be held on the impact of social media on art and artists, classical dance presentations and workshop “Nrityaman – The Joy of Dance”, and a poetry session titled “Safarnama” by the Majlis group.

The Authors’ Corner will host book launches and book reviews.

7 February 2026 (Saturday)

The second day will continue with art exhibitions, literary dialogues and book launches, Srishti Mandapam, design exhibitions, design academic sessions and workshops, open mic live sessions and the Picasso exhibition.

Performing arts will include the poetry recital “Dhai Akhar Prem Ke”, film screenings, a discussion on “Bataan Rajasthani Cinema Ki”, and the book reading and dialogue session “Shabd Sansar”.

On the literary stage, sessions such as “Bharat Bodh”, the classical Kathak performance “Padanyas”, and the book launch and review of “Sitayan” will be organised.

8 February 2026 (Sunday)

On the concluding day, art exhibitions, art dialogues and book launches, Srishti Mandapam, design exhibitions, design academic sessions and workshops, open mic live sessions and the Picasso exhibition will continue.

Performing arts will feature literature panels (Panel 1, 2 and 3), a Rajasthani language session titled “Hello Mayad Bhasha Ro”, a children’s theatre workshop “Natyanubhav”, and the play “Ajab Chor Ki Gajab Kahani.”

Mumbai: Future Varsity–NAEMD JOSH 2025, one of
Mumbai’s most dynamic intercollegiate cultural festivals, concluded
successfully, reaffirming its stature as a powerful student-led platform
celebrating talent, creativity, and collaboration. Organised by Future
Varsity and  Nest Academy of Event Management & Development (NAEMD) ,
the festival showcased the energy and vision of India’s youth through
large-scale competitive and cultural engagements.

Held under the
theme “Power of We – From Humanity to Infinity,” JOSH 2025 brought
together participation from over 120 colleges and more than 2,500
students from Mumbai and across Maharashtra through extensive audition
rounds and a grand finale. Entirely conceptualised and executed by NAEMD
students, the festival featured flagship events such as Student Idol,
Fusion Dance, Fashion Show, and Band Contest, celebrating collective
effort, creativity, and youthful expression.

The JOSH Finals,
hosted at Bal Gandharva Rangmandir, Bandra, witnessed high-energy
performances by finalists selected through multiple audition rounds
conducted across college campuses, creating an electrifying atmosphere
and a competitive yet celebratory stage for emerging talent.

Future
Varsity–NAEMD JOSH 2025 recorded exceptional performances across
categories, with Thakur College of Science & Commerce winning the
Best College title along with the Fashion Show category. Prahladrai
Dalmia Lions College emerged victorious in the Band Contest, while
Pillai College of Arts, Commerce & Science secured the Fusion Dance
title.

Future Varsity NAEMD JOSH festival was evaluated
by a distinguished jury panel comprising Arpita Chakraborty, live
performer and Indian playback singer, and Rishabh Panchal, singer and
songwriter, who judged the Student Idol and Band Contest categories,
with the Fashion Show and Fusion Dance categories evaluated by Shaina
Lebana, model, actor, and professionally trained dancer, and renowned

music director Rohit Shyam Raut serving as jury members across all JOSH
categories; the Femina Miss India Maharashtra segment was judged by an

In a
historic milestone, for the first time in 60 years, the Miss India
Organisation granted an academic institution the official license to
host and organise the Femina Miss India Maharashtra state pageant. The
event was exclusively managed by Future Varsity through its students,

The author was in conversation with fellow authors  Dr. Swaroop Sampat Rawal and Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta. The session was  moderated by actor and founder of Paperbacktalks, Rahul Saini.

The trigger to writing a book is often a life altering moment. And so it was for author Suresh Kumar, a prominent Indian origin resident of New Jersey, visiting India to firm up plans for a Malayali language translation of the book. The Kerala born, US migrated business leader’s debut novel  “Girl in Scarlet Hijab”, is set against the tumultuous backdrop of 1980s Kerala.

The author says, “The specific thought that had come to my mind as I was waiting all alone in the pre-surgery room was, ‘I have not told the stories of my land and my people to my son, then just 12. What if something goes wrong and I do not come out alive? How would he learn about his people and their courage, love and sacrifice?’ That was when I made a promise to myself that if all goes well- I will write those stories first. This was the motivation for writing “Girl in Scarlet Hijab”.

It took Suresh three years to weave a gripping narrative of revolution, identity and sacrifice. The protagonist in the novel is Rukhsana Mirza, a young woman whose scarlet hijab becomes an iconic symbol of defiance as she joins forces with other student activists Murali and Shibu in their fight against political corruption. Drawing from real historical events, including the legacy of freedom fighters and the forgotten heroes of India’s independence movement, Kumar’s work interrogates accepted history while exploring the fragile nature of revolution in contemporary India. At the launch, Suresh explained, “The historical setting includes Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Kerala in 1925, the 1942 jail break of Jayaprakash Narayan, and the 1946 mutiny of the Royal Indian Navy,” he explained. “By bookmarking these incidents, I have created a Rang de Basanti style narrative of youth awakening.”

Educator Dr.Swaroop Sampat Rawal and Asia’s first reading coach Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta gave their insights on the value of reading, particularly fiction and discussed what makes a story interesting enough to be made into a film.  A loyal audience of book lovers was in attendance, asking keen questions and making a beeline for signed copies.
